4. Salvation without regeneration.
This has become a huge problem in the church today. The way we are preaching the gospel today is as if anyone of us can casually enter into salvation at any time without any cost or change of life. A salvation that is based on merely human decision is no salvation at all!
Lets remember Jesus said,” not everyone who says Lord! Lord! Will enter the kingdom of heaven, but those who do the will of my Father.”
The current way we have been preaching the gospel is wide open to the error of breeding decisions without regeneration. I am not saved by my decision alone, but I am saved by Gods mercy, by Gods regenerative work in my soul, performed by the entrance of Gods Holy Spirit, this is not the work of man, but the work of God.
The serious flaw lies more in the Messenger than in the hearer, after all the hearer can only respond to the instructions of the message. There needs to be an over haul in our pulpits if the gospel of grace is going to be recovered, and for this to happen, there must also be a change and shift in our theology. Salvation belongs to the Lord, and it is from Him that the Messenger and the hearer must seek it!
The wind blows wherever it pleases, and we hear it’s sound but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes, so is everyone who has been born of the Spirit. If you have been born of the Spirit you will know it! If not you will know it too!
